The XIX. Pan-American Games will take place from 20th October until 5th November 2023 in the capital City of Santiago de Chile.
Carlos Silva Monterroso, President of the American Shooting Confederation welcomed the IOC President Dr. Thomas Bach and the IOC Honorary Member ( from 1995 until 2015) and honorary ISSF President Mr. Olegario Vazquez Rana personally.
It was a very moment for the American Shooting family to see Mr. Olegario Vazquez Rana who was participating at the 1975 Pan-American Games in Mexico and set up his own world record in Air Rifle with 393 points, he also was participating in 4 Olympic Games ( 1964,1968,1972 and 1976) as an athlete.
18 Quota Places for the Paris Olympic Games will be distributed , the ISSF wish good luck to all participants.
