ISSF President Rossi met International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach ahead of the SportAccord International Federations (IFs) Forum which started today in Lausanne and will run until Wednesday (November 15).

President Bach officially opened the 17th version of this event, themed under the heading of Sport (R)Evolution – at the Olympic Museum.

President Rossi has joined other IF leaders and global industry experts to explore the changing sporting landscape and to discuss how IFs can combine creative thinking with accelerating technology.

There will also be a focus on developing powerful and coherent brands and understanding what has driven recent growth in areas such as women’s sport.

“I am delighted to take part in this IF Forum for the first time,” said President Rossi.

“Especially because this year we will be coverIng major issues that are transforming the environment in which international federations have to work. 

“I am looking forward to having energised and engaged discussions with my fellow delegates and see what new ideas and concepts can be used to help promote shooting sport.”

Among the guests will be the Paris 2024 Organising Committee’s director general Étienne Thobois and sports director Aurélie Merle, who will look ahead to next years Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Schedule: Sport(R)Evolution – SportAccord International Federation (IF) Forum 2023

Subjects ranging from the untapped commercial potential of IFs to sustainability and the growth of womens sports are on the agenda.

There will also be discussion about ways to harness the latest technology to drive growth, adapting to change, navigating economic challenges such as inflation, dealing with supply side squeezes, cyber security and wider issues including audience retention and digital transformation.
