The Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF) has presented the results of their latest governance review of International Federations.
It is the third review in the last four years during which each Federation was evaluated in five sections: Transparency, Integrity, Democracy, Development, and Control Mechanisms.
The ISSF showed a significant performance improvement in all sections having received a considerable increase in the overall rating compared to previous studies completed in 2016 and 2018.
Special progress was noted in the Democracy section which was reflected in the adoption of the new Constitution by the majority, and by starting to implement its key provisions.
Positive changes were noted by the ASOIF relating to an increase in the ISSF’s work in publishing information using various Internet platforms, to the establishing of the Development Fund.
It was separately noted that significant progress in activities of a large Federation was achieved by a small number of staff providing solutions to the tasks being set.
